POTTERY OF THE SOUTHWEST

Artists and Pieces from Southwestern Pottery - Anasazi to Zuni

Pottery By Pueblo | Native American Tribe

Pueblo Pottery Gallery and Native American Art

The bulk of our collection is from the Modern Period (post-1880 era – present). It includes everything from the black-on-black pottery the San Ildefonso Pueblo is famous for, the polished redware of the Jemez Pueblo, the fine-line black-on-white jars of Acoma Pueblo and the golden, mica flecked pots from Taos and Picuris Pueblos.

Our collection not only includes objects crafted by renowned Pueblo potters such as Maria Martinez (San Ildefonso) and Lucy M. Lewis (Acoma) but also by leading artisans in all of the Pueblos.
